General Rule Book

This is our rule book. Live by it. =]

General

*No posting vulgar material or inappropriate talk, this includes links to pornography, unnecessary swear words, and the like. This is a role playing forum, not a hell house.

*Please show respect. There is no need to have arguments with people every five seconds. If you have a problem that needs to be resolved, feel free to use PM or PM me.

*If you plan on leaving for an extended period of time, please post in the 'Absence Excuse' board.

*If you are leaving the site permanently, please PM me. You do not have to post in the 'Absence Excuse' board.

*One account per person. There are IP addresses, and I will catch you.

*Register to view all of the main boards.

*Please no spamming. Nobody likes a spammer.

Becoming A Member

*Please follow the guidelines provided once you join. It's set up so that it's easy to follow.

*When waiting for your character sheet to be accepted, please be patient. DO NOT begin role playing until it is accepted by me or another admin.

*Make sure the pack that you have chosen fully accepts you before entering their territory.

Activity

*Try and stay active, especially if you have a major part in a current role play. I know we all have lives outside of the internet, but just try to check up on us about once or twice a week at the least.

*As stated earlier, if you are leaving for an extended period of time please notify us. We will try and work around you in the role plays.

Posts

*This is an intermediate/advanced role playing site. Please do your best to post at least two paragraphs in every post.
(This is 7-8 sentences at the least.)

*Remember; when your character is speaking you must put their dialog in "quotes". When he or she is thinking something, place the text in italics. Distinguishing these two differently, such as color or bold is fine as long as you state which is which.

*NO GOD-MODING OR POWER PLAYING!! It's stupid, and I will hate you.

*Try and use spell check every time you post. We all make mistakes, but try and prevent it.

*When saying something out of character please put OOC: in front of it. For every OOC, put BiC in front of your actual post.
If this is confusing, just ask and I'll try and explain another way.

*Do not to join multiple role plays at one time. It defies the laws of physics. You may have your character leave a current role play to join another or you can join a thread that has been made at least 48 hours after the one you are currently in.

*3rd person posts only.

*This is a realistic wolf role play, so please be...well, realistic. This includes no wings, jewelery, powers, odd colors, etc.

*Please, NO CHAT SPEAK!! It really gets on my nerves, and I can't always make out what you're trying to say. So for the sake of my brain and the brains of others, no chat speak!

Character Limits

*There is an unlimited amount of wolves that you can have per account, but please be sure to manage each wolf equally. If we see that you are neglecting one (or more) that character will be retired and you will be given a limit.

*Throughout fights, there is a limited number of dodges you can have during a certain amount of time. [A max of about 7 or 8 dodges in total.] If your wolf does not wish to be in a fight s/he is being provoked into, you may have a few more dodges so long as you do not attack.

Males

*Naturally stronger than females, but females can also overthrow males from time to time.

*Force breeding is look downed upon, but if you must, you can try. If the female puts up a fight and wins, too bad for you.
(Also, make sure it's okay with the owner of the character before you try anything.)

*Slightly larger than females.

*May fight over females, but only during breeding season.

*Fights for rank consist of those only for the Alpha position.

Females

*Slightly weaker than males, but can overthrow a male from time to time.

*Can resist force breeding if not desired by the owner.

*Slightly smaller than males.

*May only fight over the Alphess postion.

*Occasionally, females may fight over males.

*Pregnancies last one to one and a half weeks (in real time) at the least.

Pups/Mating/Birthing

*Pups age one month for every two weeks in real time.

*Pups cannot be created as a starting character.

*Verbal abilities start to develop after one week of real time.

*Pups born at NLWT will be created by staff members, just for fun. Requests are acceptable, simply PM me or another staff member.

*1-5 pups born in a litter at a time.

*Mating is only permitted in the designated season.

*Birthing can happen almost anywhere, but dens will always be provided if needed.

*Lower ranking wolves need to ask permission from their Alphas before they decide to have pups.
